VISION

Women’s March, with Project South and 22nd Century Initiative, will convene 175 feminist Assembly Leaders from all 50 states for a national train-the-trainers summit. This launches a bottom-up process to rebuild democracy—led by everyday women.

Assembly Leaders will leave Houston with the skills, tools, and network to return home, squad up, and lead local people’s assemblies. These assemblies will surface community needs and demands, feeding into a coordinated national strategy.

In addition to the leadership cohort of 175 Assembly Leaders, the convening will also feature public organizing labs on anti-authoritarianism, community safety, election defense and more, open to local and national organizers and feminists.

Fifty years after the 1977 National Women’s Conference, and at the 175-year mark of this country, we are stepping in as the founding feminists of what comes next.

THIS IS OUR THREE PART PLAN:

  • 2026 Women's Convening

    September 25 - 27, 2026
    Houston, Texas

175 Assembly Leaders from across the U.S. will train to lead Feminist Assemblies in their states, joined by 100+ participants building skills in community safety, election defense, and anti-authoritarian organizing.

Together, they represent a new generation of everyday women stepping into leadership.

  • Local People’s Assemblies

    2026 - 2027
    50 states & US territories

Feminist Assemblies are a people-powered effort to rebuild democracy from the ground up.

After the convening, Assembly Leaders will work locally to identify shared priorities and build power to achieve them. They will then draft a National Feminist Agenda rooted in community needs and lived experience.

  • 2027 Women's Convention

    Summer 2027
    Houston, Texas

In 2027, Assembly Leaders will return alongside 2,500 other women, Assembly Members, artists, cultural leaders, and changemakers.

Together, they will turn local priorities into national action and ratify the National Feminist Agenda, aligning strategy, deepening relationships, and committing to a shared future.

We are rebuilding American democracy from the ground up, rooted in mutual care, collective decision-making, and our lived experience.
